FUN FACTS

THE WEATHER Constantly sucks. An after-effect of nuclear weapons.

ELECTRICITY Exists in few locations. A power plant has recently been put in mild working condition, providing sporradic electricity to the better part of central Germany.

CARS For the most part, don't run anymore. Unless you somehow manage to siphon a shitload of gas from an old city and don't run your battery much.

BANDS Do not exist.

RECORDS/CDS Exist, but you're damn lucky if you've got something to play them.

ANYTHING YOU LEARN You learn from books or someone kind enough to waste their time teaching you.

TATTOOS & PIERCINGS Exist. They're just done in a way more primitive way with a much higher chance of infection.

PROSTITUTION Is a very valid profession and much welcomed social service.

DRUGS Exist. New drugs exist as well.

ALCOHOL Is warm and stale tasting as hell, unless you're fortunate enough to live near a working power plant and stupid enough to waste electricity on a working fridge.

AMERICA Doesn't really exist, not the way you're picturing it. They nuked most of their cities.

UTOPIA Is in Europe. It's Berlin, or "New Berlin".

THE VIRUS Takes 8-9 days to kill you if you catch it in the air. But only 48 hours if it gets into your bloodstream. Its airborne form only exists in hot spots.

HOT SPOTS Are the areas where the virus first broke out.

GLOWERS Infected that were in the immediate area of a nuclear meltdown or bomb. Their sickly skin glows a faint green colour. They are heavily irradiated and dangerous to be even near, but they do make for fun night time sniping. If you get their blood on you, you're fucked.

BRUTES Infected that were affected physically by nuclear fallout, they're larger, stronger and much more aggressive than the average Infected. On the bright side, they're slower.

MONEY Is worthless. Trade is the new currency, be it food, books, sex, basically anything can be traded.

THE OTHER CITY (DUBLIN) The other one mentioned in the plot was Dublin, they built walls around the city, but in 2019 a scouting mission went awry, a handful of survivors were recovered, they had been recently bitten but had managed to hide their early stages of infection. They got beyond control and Dublin went to hell, fast. Some survivors managed to escape and close the doors to the city.

THE REPUBLIC Is a small, mostly destroyed German town that has been patched up and converted into a settlement. It is heavily guarded and is very unfriendly to anyone who approaches armed. It is inhabited by pioneers and run by a dictator.

ROULETTA Was conceived basically by a bunch of outlanders who couldn't say no to such an untouched town. It wasn't really ransacked, was practically deserted, and it was given its name in early 2020. Occupation started in 2017, and after a handful of people really got together, then it was established as a town. Since the town's conception a lot of people have still fallen victim to illness, and the Infected. People have continued to cycle through. Everyday people are choosing to stay there over traveling with their groups, or living in Utopia. Special thanks to Rhae for this.
