Mature threads are permitted, so long as they are handled tastefully and take place only in the designated Mature forum. Names are tricky things here, without proper records, a lot of characters wouldn't know their full names anymore, it's actually very rare to have a first, middle, and last name. So register as what your character goes by. Proper capitalization and spacing still applies. Confused? An good example would be naming your character Target because they were born in one. A bad example would be naming your character TARGET or darkLORD_666. You may have as many characters as you can manage, but these characters must differ significantly from one another. If at any time you are unable to handle all of your characters, we offer the option of putting a character on Hiatus. Save the drama for your mama and leave your baggage at the door. Everyone is here to have fun and roleplay, we'd appreciate it if you didn't constantly whine, complain and generally wallow in your own sadness. A bad day once in a while is completely fine, we understand that, but we don't want to see you moping in the cbox or ooc forums every other minute. The admins of CUG try to be as accessible as possible, feel free to contact us with questions, comments, suggestions and even issues you may be having. However, we ask that you do so politely, this falls under the common courtesy rule. If you are having a problem on the site, do not harass an admin and demand they fix your problem immediately, threatening to quit the site if they do not immediately adhere to your demands. Try PMing an admin, explaining politely what your problem is and we'll gladly help you sort it out. Admins are people too and, like you, do not enjoy being yelled at and told off. We will do our best to provide activities and plot twists to keep you entertained and active on CUG, but you need to be willing to involve yourself in discussions, threads, plots and other events around the site. We ask that before you join, you are willing to make an honest effort to be a part of the forum. Besides, sitting on your own wanted thread and waiting for people to flock to you is no fun anyway, if everyone did that, no one would ever plot. Don't be shy, just jump in! After registering, you have a week to post a completed application before we delete your account. Unfinished apps are okay, just don't forget to bump it with a post letting us know when you're finished. No Mary-Sues or Gary-Stus. This doesn't just apply to perfect characters, it also extends to complete trauma cases and scene creatures. Above all, be original. We're looking for mature roleplayers with creativity. We will delete all counts of sexual abuse and you will be warned on the first offense, three warnings and you will be banned from our site. This includes the mention of rape and molestation. This includes, but is not limited to, characters that were raped or molested or are the product of rape. We literally want no mention of this. Post length should be about two to three paragraphs with roughly three to five lines per. We understand off days though, so no one's going to whip you if you're a few lines short on a bad day. Fight thread posts may be shorter as well, and same goes for posts quite far into a thread, we understand that there's only so much scenery you can describe when you're well into a thread. No one liners! That being said, no novels either, the 200 - 500 word mark is ideal, but a bit over and a bit under is okay. Posts can be done in first person or third person, but make sure you clear first person posting with the person you're threading with first. Flaming and harassment will not be tolerated. Don't start fights, don't finish them, this extends to the c-box as well, if you are caught doing this, you will have your posting privileges removed. GRAPHICS The maximum signature size is 500x250 and the maximum avatar size is 200x200. If you have a big sig, use a small avatar and vice versa. The maximum graphic width in general is also 500px. Give credit where credit is due. It doesn't matter where you found the graphics, if you didn't make them, say who did. FACE CLAIMS Model claims must be actual celebrities, they don't have to be well-known at all, but they can't be ordinary people you found on myspace, devART or vampirefreaks. Disallowed face claims are: Wrestlers, teen pop idols/anyone from the Disney channel. This is not a slight to any of those shows or musicians, they're just overused. This is a scenester-free zone. Post your face claim in the appropriate section as soon as you are accepted. If you feel desperately that you need to change your model after being accepted, you can change them once per character but ONLY if you post in the support forum to do so.
